Where Pain Meets Soul
A reflective piece on shared grief, reminding us that through mourning others, we awaken to the impermanence of life and the quiet truth of letting go.
By Anupama Sometimes, You cry on someone else's behalf, not just to comfort, But to feel the weight of what they’ve lost; That’s where pain meets the soul, through borrowed grief, through shared tears; In that moment, You don’t just connect with them, You connect with yourself; And in that space, touched by sorrow, You glimpse a truth: Everything is transient, a passing mirage meant to soothe; The bonds we form, The love we hold, They belong to this world, not beyond; No one truly knows Where we go after, We can only hope for meadows; So mourn with another, for in imagining their sorrow, You step into loss, and walk out a little more detached, a little more awake, knowing that everything, and everyone, is just passing through!!
